Basic Requirements for Fingerprint Technician in Kentucky
High school graduate. Must complete two years (54 semester hours) from a college or university. Must have one year of experience in fingerprint comparison, lab development of latent fingerprint evidence or field development of latent fingerprint evidence. Work experience in one of the above areas or as a law enforcement officer will substitute for the required college at one year of experience for two years of college. Drug screening test and background check.
Fingerprint Technician Training in Kentucky
Current Latent Print Certification or Tenprint Fingerprint Certification issued by the International Association for Identification will substitute for the required training and experience.
